Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service that allows you to
obtain materials not owned by the Marygrove College Library.
This service is provided free to all students, staff,
faculty, alumni with proof of degree, and the IHM Sisters.
There are several ways to make a request:
Submit an electronic form for a book
or an article,
Use the ILL button available in most Library databases.
Please be aware that:
Your item will usually arrive within 1-2 weeks
(sometimes sooner, sometimes later) so plan ahead!
You will be emailed or called when the item is available
for pickup at the Library circulation desk.
Articles
arrive in electronic or photocopied format, and they are
yours to keep. Books are borrowed and must be returned
by the date printed on the cover. Renewal is usually
possible - please contact Sylvia Turner before the due date.
You are responsible
for the replacement or repair of ILL items borrowed in
your name, and for any fines incurred. The Library
wishes to maintain a good reputation in the interlibrary
loan community, so please care for the loaned items and
return them promptly.
Some items are seldom loaned
via ILL. These include rare books and archival material,
audio-visual material, entire issues or volumes of
periodicals, genealogical manuscripts, most reference
books and some dissertations.
